Search and Pull in Content from Social Channels

Include posts curated from social media into your streams in just a few simple clicks. From the back-end of Live, you are able to search social channels  - such as Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram, and publish social content directly to your stream.

Search and Pull in Social Content in the Content Studio

1. Search and Publish Content From TWITTER in Real-Time

To pull-in content from Twitter:

a) In the Search Content Hub, select the Twitter search option.

b) Choose to search by keywords or People.

c) Type your query into the search box and press Enter.

d) You can further filter your search results by Verified or Images Only.

e) Your search results are displayed in the content box below. This content is highly interactive. Links are active and videos can be viewed all within this window.  You can even comment or reply to tweets as you would within the Twitter application itself!

Click the  to add the content to your Moderation Hub, the  to publish directly to your stream, the  to send content to the RTE - or simply drag and drop.

                                

 

2. Search and Publish Content From FACEBOOK in Real-Time

To pull-in content from Facebook:

a) In the Search Content Hub, select the Facebook search option.

b) Your initial search looks for Fan Pages results associated with your keywords.

c) Type your query into the search box and press Enter.

d) Your search results are displayed in the content box below. Clicking on a Fan Page will bring up another content window displaying results within that Fan Page.

e) Within this new window, you can now filter search results by either Post (Fan Page administrator generated) or Feeds (user-generated comments).

f) Simply hovering your cursor over a search result will display the full content of that Post or Feed as it appears on Facebook and as well as your website or blog.

3. Search and Publish Content From INSTAGRAM in Real-Time

To pull-in content from Instagram:

a) In the Search Content Hub, select the Instagram search option.

b) You can choose to search by either Keyword or People.

c) Type your query into the search box and press Enter.

d) Your search results are displayed in the content box below. If you searched Keywords the results of recent posts will be displayed. If you performed a People search, another content window displaying results within that user account will appear (see fig. e).

e) Within this new window, you can now peruse these users individual posts.

4. Search and Publish Content From YOUTUBE in Real-Time

To pull-in content from YouTube:

a) Go to your stream's Write page and select the YouTube tab, located in the Search Content Hub.

b) Type a keyword or query into the search box and click on the Search icon, or hit 'Enter' on your keyboard.

c) Results relevant to your search query will populate in the right-rail. Click the Search icon again to refresh your populated search results. 

Note: Only videos that are public will populate in your search results. If a user has made their account private, their videos will not be included in searches.

5. Search and Publish Content From LIVE STREAMS in Real-Time

To pull-in content from Live Streams:

a) In the Search Content Hub, select the Live Streams search option.

b) This search box allows you to choose from a list of projects you’ve created in the past. This searches any and all content previously published through Live using your current account.

c) Your search results are displayed in the content box below. This content is highly interactive. Links are active and videos can be viewed all within this window.

6. Search and Publish Content From GETTY Images in Real-Time

To pull-in content from Getty Images:

a) Go to your stream's Write page and select the Getty Images tab in the Search Content Hub.

b) Log into your Getty Images account to search and publish content from Getty Images to your stream. If you do not have a Getty Images account, you can register for one by clicking on the Register Now link.

c) Type a keyword or query into the search box and click on Search icon, or hit 'Enter' on your keyboard.

d) Results relevant to your search query will populate in the right-rail. Click the Search icon again to refresh your populated search results.

Note: The first time you pull a Getty image into your Live stream, you will be shown the Getty Images Licensing Terms, indicating that you are about to license an image based on your existing agreement with Getty Images. This message will only appear once. After you Accept, your selected photo will be published to your stream.

                       

 

7. Search and Publish Content using an SDK Integration

To pull-in content from an SDK Integration:

a) Go to your stream's Write page and select the "..." icon in the Search Content Hub.

b) You will be prompted to select an SDK integration from the list of options. Click here to learn how to add a content source to this list. 

c) Type a keyword or query into the search box and click on Search icon, or hit 'Enter' on your keyboard.

d) Results relevant to your search query will populate in this panel.
