      Publishing Your LiveArticle

      A LiveArticle can be pubished in multiple ways to your digital property:

      Navigation
      Dashboard > Any Live Stream > Menu > Write > LiveArticle
      Permission Level
      Administrator  |  Developer  |  Editor  |  Moderator  |  Writer  |  Moderated Writer

       

      Publish a LiveArticle to your Whitelabel Site

      If you have a white label site, the LiveArticle will appear at the top of the stream it's associated with.

      By default, your LiveArticle will save as a draft until you publish it. To publish your LiveArticle, follow these steps:

      1. From within your stream, go to> LiveArticle™ at the top of the stream.
      2. Add content to your LiveArticle box. Click Preview to see how your LiveArticle will appear on your whitelabel site. Note: If your stream is attached to more than one whitelabel template, hover over the Preview link, and click on the name of the white label site you would like to preview your LiveArticle on. 
      3. If you are satisfied with your preview, click Publish, then OK in the system prompt to publish your LiveArticle. 
      4. Your LiveArticle will automatically be added to the top of your stream in your whitelabel site.

       

      Publish a LiveArticle Using the Embed Code

      If you would like to embed the LiveArticle portion of your stream onto one of your web pages, you can do so by using the the LiveArticle embed code.

      Note:

      The LiveArticle embed will only place the LiveArticle on your page. To embed your stream, you will need to copy and paste the stream embed code.

      To find the LiveArticle embed code:

      1. From within your stream, click Menu > Write > LiveArticle at the top of the page.
      2. Click on the Embed Code link in the top-right corner of the LiveArticle toolbar.
      3. Copy the embed code that appears. Place the embed code in the source code area of your web page. 

       

      Publish a LiveArticle via the API

      You can retrieve the LiveArticle via our API. You can find the appropriate API calls in the API section of your client. Click here for more information on how to retrieve your LiveArticle with our API.

       

      See the Published Status of your LiveArticle

      Your LiveArticle’s status will be either Draft, Published (Pending Revs.) or Published at any given time.

      To find out your LiveArticle’s status at any give time, follow these steps:

      1. From within your stream, click Menu > Write > LiveArticle at the top of the page.
      2. Locate the Published Status above the LiveArticle toolbar.

      What does each status mean?

      • Draft - When you first add content the LiveArticle content editor or modify your content, your LiveArticle's Published status will appear as a Draft. 
      • Published - Once you have clicked on the Publish link, your LiveArticle will be switched to Published status. 
      • Published (Pending Revs.) - When you make edits to your LiveArticle after initially publishing your changes, your LiveArticle’s status will be switched to Published, pending revisions, until you click the Publish link to commit your changes.
