Content Goal (Exclusive to Enterprise Edition)

A feature exclusive to Enterprise edition, Content Goals were designed to help content marketers better plan and measure their content performance. Content goals track conversion rates, allowing content creators to gauge how your audience is converting to achieve your business goals.

When creating a stream, users can choose a content goal for their content after adjusting their stream's Basic Setup preferences or during the content creation process.

(1) Give Me Information

Learn more about your audience by setting your content goal to Give me information.

When you add a profiling question to your stream, they are categorized by question types. Setting your content goal to Give me information will enable you to select a question type that is the most important piece of information you want to attain from your audience. Click here to learn more about profiling forms and question types.

(2) Click on a Link

Use your content to drive your audience to your website by setting your content goal to Click on a Link.

In the URL field, fill in your website’s address. If an audience member clicks on your website’s link (or the URL you have set as your content goal) this conversion will be reflected by your conversion rate. The conversion rate of your stream can be found on your Analytics page. Click here for more information about your conversion rate, and analytics.

There are two ways a content goal is achieved:

  • Give me Information: If you have set a content goal that requires your audience to give you information, you will be required to include a profiling question in your stream. When an audience member answers a profiling question, your content goal is achieved.

  • Click on a Link: If you have set a content goal that requires your audience to click on a link, you must ensure that your posts or discussion replies include the link you have set as your content goal. When an audience member clicks on the specified link, your content goal is achieved.

After adjusting your content goal settings, click on Next Step – Choose A Template to choose how your content will be published.
